To tell u in brief....

Milestone billing means distributing the total amount to be billed over multiple billing dates in the billing plan.

As each milestone is successfully reached, the customer is billed either a percentage of the entire project cost or simply a pre-defined amount.

For this u define milestones in the project and maintain the billing percentage. With the help of these milestones u can create a billing plan in the Sales Order.

When the milestone is confirmed, system removes the billing block and u can process the billing document.
