general sales area -urgent

Hi folks,

In Tc. OVAZ, when i assigning a sales doc. type to a newly created sales area , it s showing error as :define Sales area first as a general sales area.'

How to define this sales area as a common sales area.

I have checked VOR1 and VOR2. it seems it is ok.

why this error is coming..

please suggest something for this as it is urgent.

Hi sourav

Before maintaining in OVAZ we need to maintain data in

T Codes OVAO, OVAM. OVAN

You maintain in VOR1 and VOR2 for the master data purposes

This sales area you maintain for the sales document types

Hope this will give you clarity

Hi Sourav,

I feel actually there is no need of General Sales Area to be Assigned to our Sales Area.

leave the Configuration settings at T Codes OVAO, OVAM. OVAN,OVAZ as blank. (Do not maintain Anything)

I think you should not get any error when you raise any Sales Document type.

Hi,

1 you have to do following assignment then only you can assign your document type.

Please do the following setting 1.

Combine sales organizations-->OVAO

Combine distribution channels-->OVAM

Combine divisions-->OVAN

Now assign your order type to type sales are in

IMGà Sales and distributionà Sales Documents à Sales Document Header à Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types àAssign sales order types permitted for sales areas

Dear Sourav,

This issue because you not done the steps combine salesorganisations,combine distribution cahnnels and combine divisions before perform the Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas.

So you do

Combine sales organizations-->OVAO

Combine distribution channels-->OVAM

Combine divisions-->OVAN

Now you tray with Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas system will accept.
