DB2 PATCH Fix Pack 4 of DB2 9.1 (Urgent)

Hi Experts,

I'm trying to Patch out current database (DB2) V9.1 to Fix Pack 4. I have downloaded required files and following the installation process according to note 978554.

In this Note " Install the new software copy using db2setup or db2_install as user "root". We recommend that you install the copy in a subdirectory of the home directory db2<dbsid> using "db2setup", for example, ~db2<beside>/db2_v9_fp1. Then execute program "db2iupdt"

As far as I understood that I will create another directory XYZ FP4 and then run db2setup as db2<sid>. How would I run db2setup from XYZ PF4 directory?

After that, how would I execute program "db2iupdt"?

I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Once fixpak has been applied then stop the instance from db2sid from s/wpath/instance ./db2istop instancename(after stopping the database)

Then other than db2sid user

(as user root)update the instance from the same location with command ./db2iupdt instancename.

This will work
