Hello,

I am working on a heterogeneous system copy from Windows 2003 (64 bits) + MSSQL Server 2000 to AIX 5.3 + Oracle 9.2.0.7, to perform this I am using the following CDs:

SAP R/3 Release 4.6D

SAP Kernel MS SQL Server

NT/IA64

Number 51019881

And

Basis Release 4.6D

OS/DB Migration

HP-UX, NT, OS400, Reliant, Tru64 Unix

CD 1/2

Number 51019861

When I execute the command R3SETUP.exe and fill the data, the proccess was stoped and shows the following messages:

ERROR 2008-05-16 12:18:59 DBEXPCOMMONDBENV_NT_MSS InternalColdKeyCheck:0

SQL-Server Instance invalid:

INFO 2008-05-16 12:18:59 DBEXPCOMMONDBENV_NT_MSS InternalColdKeyCheck:0

You have only installed MS SQL Server Client tools!

ERROR 2008-05-16 12:18:59 DBEXPCOMMONDBENV_NT_MSS ColdKeyCheck:0

Phase failed.

ERROR 2008-05-16 12:18:59 InstController Action:0

Step DBEXPCOMMONDBENV_NT_MSS could not be performed.

ERROR 2008-05-16 12:18:59 Main

Installation failed.

ERROR 2008-05-16 12:18:59 Main

Installation aborted.

Can you help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Cristian

If you're going to AIX then this CD won't help

- Are you logged in as <sid>adm?

- Did you execute "r3setup -f dbmig.r3s"?

Hi Markus,

Thanks for your response, I'm executing the export proccess with the command R3SETUP -f DBEXPORT.R3S on my Windows 2003 server.

My export is running now, I use just the CD 51019881, I don't replace the files from Migration Kit (CD 51019861):

<CD-DRIVE:>\TOOLS\NT\<Source_Hardware>

<CD-DRIVE:>\TOOLS\NT\<Source_Hardware>\<Source_Database>

The proccess was running now.

This is my test export, I'm going to report this to SAP, maybe they can validate if this procedure is Ok.

Thanks,

Cristian

I hope the "DBEXPORT.R3S" will create the correct DBSIZE.XML in the correct directory (did it?), otherwise you have the export but no database sizes for the target system
