"Application not found" error after deploying

Hi,

I am getting error as "Application not found" after deploying.

When I depoly the project am getting Finished Deployment message in the Deploy Output View followed by a popup message "Application not found".

Please help me in solving this error.

Hi Rajesh,

Are you using correct application URL?

First thing you need to check is wheather you are able to see your application in webdynpro content administrator.

go to index.html page of your WAS->webdynpor->webdynpro content administrator.

click on browse tab.. search for all application.if you can see your application there. then you can run application from there an can obtain correct url.

Yes, I am able to run the application from the content administrator. What you told is correct but what has to be done to overcome this problem.

HI,

Enabled application is much different than started application.

When you deploy an application then by default it is in enables state.

under general tab you can see whether application is started or not?

and in reference tab you can see. all the referred application and components. and there you'll know which components is giving problem to your application

so check these tabs and let me know

Possible solution is to restart the server, as you mentioned that it is not possible, try this

Rename the project , Rename the application and deploy the newly renamed appication.

HI Rajesh,

well only thing that can be done now is compare the urls.

after deployment of your application when the view comes saying Application not found. compare that url with the correct url you are getting from content admin. just check wht is diff between them.

As you say your applications runs when you say run in conten administrator.

Try it by restarting u r server...or else

Visual admin>sdm>u r webdynpro application

undeploy it.

then again deploy.

Thanks for you answer. I am not suppose to restart the server. Can you please explain the second solution(Visual admin ?) what u have mentioned i.e. Visual admin>sdm>u r webdynpro application.

In Visual Admin-->sdm GUI

there u can find the applications u deployed.

In undeployment tab--> select u r deployed applicaition and give undeploy.

then using SCA files, u can depluy u r aplication again.

It will works.
