Block Material in Sales Order at Plant Level

Hi Experts,

I have entered the block reason in X-dist.chain status field in Sales Org 1 tab of material. Hence material is successfully blocked in order processing and futher more.

But our company wants that those materials should be blocked only for some plants and should be ok for other plants. Please reply that how can we block the material on plant basis and the block should have the similar effect as in above procedure.

hi

If you having many material then use MASS

select object type as BUS1001

click on Fileds, search for X- plant status

F8

Give material and plant

select as per your reuirment

01 Blocked for procment/whse

02 Blocked for task list/BOM

81 MPN: Blocked f.BOM header

If I choose X-Plant status then material is blocked for all plants bcoz Basic Data 1 is global data of material not the plant dependent data.

My problem is to block the material for any particular plant or no. of plants only.

In MASS tranzaction along with Material you are also going to give PLANT so it will block material for GIVEN PLANT ONLY and not for all plants

T-code: MARA

object type is BUS1001

in TABLE TAB SELECT PLANT DATA FOR MATERIAL

Click on fields

search for Plant Material Status (Field name is MARA-MSTAE)

Execute

Input MATERIAL and PLANT

Execute

now in above table there is row called as new values there you select the required status as block for procurment, etc.

Now click on icon CARRY OUT MASS CHANGE

AND SAVE

Hi,

If you want a material to be blocked, go to the Basic data 1 view of the material,there in the genral data you have " X-plant material status ". Also in Cost estimate 1 view of the material you have Plant Specific Material status. Use the options available to block the material in these two views.

You cannot use the material in sales order

Enter blocking reason in the field X-plant matl status in the Basic data 1 tab of the Material master data.
