trasnport roles

Hello people,

Hope someone can help me with this:

User A has Role R in client 100

How do I transport this role R to another client(say 200) for User B.

Correct me if my procedure is wrong:

I logged onto 100 selected the role R and hit the TRANSPORT(red truck) button, created a TR.

Then logged in to destn client 200, went to SCC1 and I selected the source client and the resp. TR

Unfortunately, Its not working..I have no clue what step was missed.

Will award points for the best/detailed answer

Hello,

You dont really need to worry about restricting to a user.

What you need to do is this:

Simply transport the profile without user assignemt.

Whenever the role is in the new environment you simply associate it in PFCG transaction.

If you're dealing with problems in transport, you should contact your BASIS team.

Everything you said should work - if you check in client 200 for the role in PFCG it should be there. The only thing you are missing is that you have not assigned the role to the user B in client 200 - recall it was assigned to user A in client 100.

The thing I was missing after logging into destn client is:

I had to check the box that said:Include subtasks.....
