Error : Sales order 'create with Reference' to the contract

We have made a value contract. Now we are trying to make a Sales order 'create with Reference' to the contract.

when we do that, we am getting error 'copying material in any value contract item is not permitted'

Any help or directions would be greatly appreciated . We are on Ecc 6.0

As of now my value contract has just one material. so i dont need assortment module settings. right?

in VTAA settings are as follows

Target type: OR

Source type: ZK1

there is only on item category

Target item category: TAN

Source item category: WKN

Copying requirement : 301

update doc flow : 2

pricing type : C

cont item copy mode : A

DataT am using 151,102,002

There are no schedule line.

Hi rohit

copy control settings are correct.

As you are not using the assortment module

Check the item category WKN. there is the problem with the itemcategory

In my Item cateory assignment VOV4

My doc type Zk1 is linked to WKN * item cat group NORM

WKN is standard item cateogy for value contratc by SAP

Hi rohit

If i am not wrong the item category group should be VSIT

Just check in VOV4 , OR + VSIT + nil + nil = WKN

Your problem will be solved

My entry in VOV4 is

sales doc type + item catg grp + usg + higher-level item cat =item cat

ZK1 + NIL + VCTR + NIL = WKN

ZK1 + NORM + NIL + NIL = WKN

ZK1 + VCIT + NIL + NIL = WKN

Hi rohit

The material you entered in value contract has the item category group of NORM. .got that material master data and give the item category group as VCIT and Now create a sales order with reference to contract. The material will get copied to sales order.

If it is not getting copied ,create another value contract with the same material after changing the item category group to VCIT and then create a sales order with reference to contract .

Maintain the item category during copy control. Same issue i was facing and solved by the same method.

Hi rohit

create a value contract in VA41. Now create a sales order with create with reference , click on contracts and then give the contract number you have saved and the relase partner and then click on item selection and then check the line item and then click on copy and then proceed .That item will be copied to the sales order . then you can do delivery and billing .

Hi

Check wheather you have entered that material in the value contract or not ? Also check wheather you have used assortment module or not

If you have used assortment module , when you click on item selection, there will be icon , + click on it you will get the materials given in assortment module. there you can enter and then those materials you can copy to the sales order
