check out using bapi from 3rd party application

Hi Forum..

i'm doing check out using a bapi

BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTMODIFY2

1. using this i can change the status of the documnet but unable to display/open the checked out document.

2. i can successfully check in documents using a bapi but its appending the originals twice if same original is existing it can not over write the existing one.

wat r the necessaru config steps tht i could perform

STATUSEXTERN

DOCUMENTFILE

STORAGECAT WSA DOCPATH

Default Doc c:\desktop

COMPONENTS

DOCUMENTNUMBER STORAGECAT DOCFILE

wn i'm executing this itz changing the status of the doc but original is not stored on dsktop

hi

have you click on dc30 for content server, remove that tick there.

also for corresponding status remove the content server option.

now it will overwrite the file.
