How to do the Partial delivery for configurable material ?

Hi All,

I am creating a sales order for a configurable material and is trying to do the partial delivery for the same. But, after the outbound delivery the status of the sales order is shown as completed although I have done the partial delivery.

Here are the steps I followed.

1. material I used here is a configurable material.

Main settings.

a. In Basic Data tab, marked as configurable

b. Procurement type='E' in MRP 2 tab

c. Strategy group as 82 in MRP 3 view.

2. I created a sales order for quantity 10

3. Created a production order followed by goods Movement thereby increasing the stock.

4. Did the outbound delivery for quantity 5.

Now if I checked for the status of the sales order using VA02, the status for the line item as well as for the sales order was "Completed" although I had done partial delivery.

I have checked for setting in Customer master record, item category in VOV7. Everything seems to be fine.

I checked for all the information in the FORUM without any help.

Can you please help me?

Check in transaction VTLA, whether Update document flow has been checked.

Check your Item category and see what 'completion rule' has been assigned.

Hi,

I checked in VTLA, Update document flow is checked.

I am using the item category TAC, for which the completion rule is set to "Blank"

Still there is no effect on the status. Still the status is "Complete " for partial delivery.

Please help.

As per information provided by you, I checked by creating a sample order for configurable material

After completing partial delivery, I checked the document flow for the order and it shows 'being processed'.

So, problem could be on your system.

Could you verify following aspects also:

Did you check status overview for this item? Do you have delivery status indicator as 'partially delivered' or 'Fully delivered'.

In case you have message as 'Fully delivered', check your customer master and see whether you selected option 'B' for your customer in shipping tab, partial delivery per item.

Additonal information:

Sales document flow is updated in table VBFA.

You can execute a report RIBELF20 in transaction SE38 and display document flow by sales order or by customer. analyze this report by checking the status for every document you created and see whether you had this problem before also.

Hi,

For Info, I am creating a sales order for Item category TAC.

1. In my case, after completing the partial delivery, in the document flow for Order, the status is shown as completed.

2. In status overview for this item, delivery status indicator is set as 'Fully delivered'.

I did check in the customer master record and the field

Partial delivery per item is set to Blank( Partial delivery allowed)

3. I did run the report RIBELF20 and I am getting this error for all the sales order I created for partial delivery for configurable material.

For Normal item, the status is showing properly.

Is there any other settings I have to check?

I needed this to be working. Please help

Hi Anupama,

Thanks for the update.

Between our SAP systems, I am not understanding as to why we are getting different results?

Watch and see if any of our Forum friends update on this issue, from their experiences.

Hope someone would test on their systems and update results they got.

I would follow up on this and update any new information.

Hi,

I checked for this scanario in Higher releases ECC6.0 and

the bahaviour worked perfectly fine.

before I was checking in 46C release. But, still not clear as

why in lower release the status is wrong
