Hi

Suppose if i have one sales organisation

four dist channel and divsion

so while preparing sales area

wht shud i do

make 1 sales area or 4 sales area

i need ur views also

i co. is also in export also

You need to createsetup four sales areas. (141 = 4)

U have to create 4 sales area.

eg. RKM- DI -HD / RKM-EX-HD / RKM-DE-HD / RKM - IN-HD

Distribution channel.

DI - DIRECT SALE

EX - EXPORT

DE- DEEMED EXPORT

IN -STOCK TRANSFER

This is just example. If any one change from the above u have to create new sales area.

You should have 4 sales areas. Let me explain with the following example

Sales Organization::::::::1000

Distribution Channel::::::::10::::::OE Exports

Distribution Channel::::::::20::::::Retail Exports

Distribution Channel::::::::30::::::OE Domestic

Distribution Channel::::::::40::::::Retail Domestic

Division::::::::::::::::::::::::::00

Now if you maintain sales area as 1000/10/00, you cannot create sale order for other distribution channels. So you should maintain four sales areas in OVKK & OVAZ.

you can make 4 sales area and in export you have to make export sales area because in future u will use that sales area for export sales with export order type

eg S.O 1000

Dis channel : 1010,1020,1030,1040

and div : 1111,2222,3333,4444

so while creatinfg a sales order i can create for 1010-2222

so i shud do common distribution channel

so i can do cross sales area also

It depends on what products are supported by what distribution channel.

So think of through which channel each product is sold.

For example d.c. A, B, C D and divisions E, F, G, H

Produt E is sold through A, B

F is sold through C, D and B

G is sold through all channels

H is sold only through A

Now 234+1 = 10

One sales org: So 1*10 =10

Totally 10 sales areas can be created.

This is only a model. Using such a model, you can arrive at the numebr of sales areas.

The maximum number of sales areas can be the product of Sales org, d.channel and division
