unit of measures

HI ALL

if a company is selling in terms of bags/cases (which will have weight in kgs) wht is going to be its base unit of measure and sales unit?

Hi,

The base UOM will be in KG and Sales UOM will be bags/Cases.

The alternate UOM IS maintained in Material master---> Additional data -

Base unit of measure means measure of unit of material in production.

Sales unit means unit of sales of a material.

In your case Sales unit is Bags.

When you enter Base unit of measure then sales unit the system automaticallly asks variations of these measures.

suppose 1 bag equal into 10 pcs

just enter in BUOM is 10 sales unit 1.

while raising sales order select UOM , the system will automatically picks price based on pricing condition record.
