Hi ..

can any of you ,please explain me the complete

flow of a XML message from a source file to a destination

file using XI .

Please explain in your own words.

please dont give any links.

i want to get your word and interpret from people who have understod the XI

please explain MESAGE MAPPING AND INTERFACE MAPPING IN PARTICULAR.

Hi,

"XI" means Exchange Infrastructure , It will consumes the XML format and it produce the XML Format.

They are two types of communication

Proxy Communication.: once the application system is XML protocol support we can use the proxy communication.

Adapter Communication: once the application system is not XML format , we can convert application to XML format through Adapter.

Ex:

Source System( Non XML )---AdapterXI- Adapter----Target System(Non XML).

Message Mapping: Structral Relationship between Source Message type and Target Message type.

Interface Mapping : Mapping Program between Source Interface and Target Interface.

Hi,

once XI pick the file, it will execute the following pipeline steps.

i.e first recive the message->receiver determination->interface determination->request for message mappiing->technical routing and then call adapter.

message mapping is nothing but mapping between two message types.

HI This is the flow:

Source --- Receiver Identification --- Interface Determination ---Message Branch --- Request Message Mapping (Interface Mapping: Involved Source and Target Messages and relevant Message Mapping configured in IR) -Technical routing –Call adapter-Response---Target
