Hi Gurus,
I have recently installed french and chinese language pack in one of our production system.
Everything is working fine but some of the menu tabs are not completely translated to the respective languages. They are still displayed in English.
What might be the problem? Please suggest on this.
Any valuable suggestions will be highly appreciated
Regards,
Kiran
Works as designed. It depends on the 'class' of the language - not all languages are 'totally' translated, meaning you will find English (if your substitute language is English) in some places.
check transaction SMLT to see what your supplementation language would be, but i guess it's English.
check in service.sap.com/globalization -> language information -> chinese (french ... chinese: which one?) to see the classification of the language, for example:
simplefied chinese -> translation status is: User Interface and Selected Help, meaning:
User Interface and Selected Help
This translation level includes all elements of the User Interface level, plus selected help (for example, F1 online help for system messages, data elements, reports, and authorization profiles).
whereas totally translated reads as:
Complete Translation with Technical Texts
All elements that are language-dependent are available in the respective langauge.
the missing bits can be adapted using transaction SE63. refer to documentation on details of this tx.
