Hi Gurus,

Can you please explain about the Product Hirarchy, and how the configuration takes place in SAP.

Please provide me the step by step notes on this for my immediate understanding

Hi Raju,

Product Hierarchy is a multilevel hierarchy that represents the relationships of certain products with other characteristics. It is an alphanumeric character string for grouping together materials by combining different characteristics. Product category hierarchies are particularly useful for reporting purposes, analyses and price determination.

Product hierarchy is attached to material in material master Basic data view as well as in Sales view.

You can maintain product hierarchies via tcode V/76

By default there is 3 level structure.
