Activity dates

Hi,

I have problem while planning dates in activities. I have planned date in all activities and given relation between them. My problem is that in planning bord when i move the activity A's finish date then all interlinked activities should move with respect to activity A, but these are not moving. Logically it should move.

Is anybody have solution on it.

Hi,

I could find something Tcode: OPT7, select the profile and in diagram area tab plase check what is mentioned in constriant.. I suggest to make is blank i.e no constraint.

Hi,

If the date, you keyed- in is the 'Actual Finish date', then it is standard system behaviour. Otherwise, pleae check whether the relationships maintained are Finish-to-Start.

Hi,

I am in planning stage, no actual dates. I used Finish to start relationship and contrains of activities are 'Must Start on and Must Finish on'.

Hi,

Becasue of the Constraints the activities will not move.

Try this:

Remove the constraint.

Enter the normal duration in the activities.

Maintain the relationships.

Later schedule as mentioned in my first reply.

But how the constrains should be removed. It is comming automaticaly. where the confugration setting to put the activity dates without constrains.

hi,

on the intral activity, dates tab there on the dropdown list on the "must" you have the fourth option which is absolutely blank. please select for start and finish.

Hi,

I have tried it but not working, relation are coming by default. I think it require any confugration change butb where i don't know. Pls give solution on it i will award full points.

Hi,

There on the dates tab you should have 3 options in the drop down list.: Must start on, can not start before, can not start later, and the fourth option is blank.

click on the must start on and there yu should be able to see these option

These options are not available?

If yes then select the bottom most option which is blank.

Check the authorization to change the dates.

Please revert back.

Hi,

I know these four option. But when i select blank option till by default Must Start and Finsh is coming.

In SPRO, Transaction OPUC, I hided contrains field and then changed finish date of activity then also related activity date is not changing.

Contrain feild is already blank. I think it is relationship problem. Relationship is not working. Where realtionship is maintained in configration?

Check settings of 'Adjust dates' in T Code OPU6.

hi sudhir,

their is something called as float in PS which tells you the critical path in your project so you can make changes to those which fall under this critical path, plz refer the same ....

Hi,

while opening the project planning board open with the project definition.

then select all. (This should select all the activities and WBS elements)

go to option and select the appropriate scheduling profile..

Now carry out the scheduling.
