System copy of a business system : what to do?

Hello everyone.

We have copied a DEV system from a Win2003 32 bits server to a new Win2003 64 bits server.

This DEV system R3 4.7 was also upgraded to ECC 6.0

Now, this system (the old one) was connected to a XI Dev server as a Business System.

The old DEV and the new DEV are active on different server (hardware) and share the same SID.

What options do I have to connect the new DEV to the XI Dev server?

I was thinking about this : reconfigure the technical system DEV defined in the XI's SLD to point to the new server.

That's all ...

Is it sufficient?

Is there a way to define the 2 DEV systems in parallel to connect at the same time to the XI Dev?

Hi,

You have to Register the New Business system in SLD

And also you have to replace the old BS with the New BS in ID where ever it points
