Interfacing of External Equipment (CMM) into SAP

Hi Gurus,

My Client has the CMM machine which records the no of reading, the reading are to be directly uploaded to the results recording screen.

I think through BAPI its possible. can any suggest the BAPI Which is used for it?

Are anyother method to interface the equiment ?

Hi jaya,

Try with BAPI also but i hv implemented the same in my earlier project without BAPI.

for any digital equipment only check the availability of USB port if it is there then u can use additional data cable (available in market) which will connect to system, so whenever u r equipment will show the reading u can transferred the same to result recording screen. even its inspector's choice to select particular results he wanted in RR screen.

this is totally related to hardware and we need not to any special Custmz..........

How you can directly extract data from CMM Software To SAP,

even if you are connecting through USB cable the data interface has to be establised

Kindly explain me in steps how you achived

It will be useful for me.
