Hi,
If you have the File on SAP R/3 Server & the file is placed in one of the Folder at OS level.
Then Use Source Path as :
170.16.13.12( IP of SAP R/3)\XI\
And in File as : xxx.xml
Use Transport Protocol as NFS
Make sure that you have the full authorizations for this Folder

hi,
Its clearly states that the source directory doesnot exists. Hence create the a directory on the R/3 System and make sure that the folder is shared with all rights given to it.
Also check that, from XI System can you access this folder.

Hi Raj,
I think this is file permission and unable to locate the directory. In this case you not possible to access R3 OS level directory.
For testing purpose copy this file from your XI Location and test the scenario. If its works fine, follow this method:
R3 --- Unix cron jobs --- place the file some FILE or FTP location -
XI (FILE / FTP) Adapter then process your messages
Thanks,
Boopathi
