Hi,
For Internal Activity cost planning, you need to maintain the Work centre/cost centre, Cost centre/actity type and maintain the cost planining for cost centre/activity in KP27.
For Actual cost cost it can be posted thru various ways the system is configured. By way of confirmation of activity, if HR is implemented thru CATS-Time sheet entry or thru FI posting.

Hi,
On control tab of network please check whether Costing variant is defined for actuals.
if entry is maintained, check in OPL1 for that costing variant is valuation variant maintained properly.
Hope this helps.

U have to assign Work Center to the Intenal activity. In the Work Center or in the Internal activity assign Activity type. In the Activity Type maintain rate.
Once activity confirmed, system will calculate the actual cost.

hi,
check the validity of the work center in CNR2 costing tab maintain a proper validity period.
Check the validity of the cost elements also and its assignment in KP26.
Have you maintained proper costing variant actual in Tcode: OPUV.
hope its useful.
Reward points if useful..Revert back if any other issue.
thanks..
hi ,
as u all three of u mentioned to check few settings ...i am done with them....
no pblem in them...
to Shrikant, yes the costing variant is defined for actual..its PS03
Can u tell more about OPL1..i mean wat need to be maintained
to Varshal, CNR2,KP26,AND OPUV are maintained correctly
to venkat, the cost indicator is checked but the Gen.Cost.Act is unchecked...
to see the cost i always go to Edit->costs->plan/Actual->Activity/Element....
is it correct path????

Hi,
Let us give a trial:
Step 1: Reverse the confirmation on that activity By Tcode: CN29.
Step2: Now go to Tcode CJ20n and Confirm the same activity again..here the system shoud give message while saving the project:
Do not save but say cancel and then go to extraslogscost calculation..
this is because if you ignore this message and still continues to save and went back to see the log the log gets cleared.
Let me know what the error is..
Thanks..
hi there,
thanks for helping me so far..
i have reversed back the n/w confirmation ...when i tried confirming the same activity its not popping up any msg...its allowing me to confirm the activity...
and i can save the project without any Msg being displayed
i had doubt in Costing variant tcode OPL1...where in for PS03...under tab Activity/Process 3 strategies have been maintained...
1) Plan price for the period
2)actual Price of Previous period
3)plan price as Avg of all fiscsl year periods
here in 2nd one i think it need to be maintained as "Actual price of the period"
is it root of all these pblems..
Any log?
Next in OPL1 whats the CO plan version maintained. by default make it "0" and click on that tab it will take you to T code..OKEQ .. just check whether the actual is cheked there..
even with that entry it should calculate theactual cost.. thats the strategy sequence,if first fails to get the data it looks at second and so on..
check this and let me know..
hi
check this out..
SPRO>PS>info system>cost revenue info system>project info database--set update control..
is the update checked, if not check it..
now check Tcode CJVC. are all the cost elements assigned in the value category properly..
then run Tcode: CJEN with test run on it.. first set delete and test run..then remove delete with onlytest run..
select object list
check whether ur getting the actual costs there..
if it does then remove test run and carryout the above cycle again..
run the report S_ALR_87013532.
do you see the actual costs there?
i have checked the "update" box and in CJVc...cost center and cost element is assigned...so no pblem der...
In CJEN, i am nt able to proceed ...as it listed all Project hierarchy der....i mean it listed only the names of proj,WBS,N/w,Activity
when i executed "S_ALR_87013532". it says "Alternative hierarchy could not be determined"...
then it says No cost and revenue and finace were selected

Atleast you should be able to see the planned cost in S_ALR_8701353 as per your earlier question..
ya i cud see only the planned cost in CJ20n...through Edit ->cost->calculate costs
to check plan/actual variance again thru Edit Menu...
when i run CJEN with Detail list its giving me the costs as per individual years....
but in report S_ALR_87013532...no clue of it...it gives error msg saying "Alternative hierarchy could not be determined"...

Hi,
Step1: Release that particular activity. (Tcode CJ20nOpen the Projecthighlight the activity in question-Editstatus--release
Step2: Once the activity operations are over give a confirmation to that activity.
Projecthighlight the activity in question-Editactivityconfirm
Upon confirmation of the activity only the actual cost is posted for the internal activity.
Thanks....
