costing-actual cost

hi ppl,

i have error while doing network costing.once i do cost calculation in cj20n only plan cost is calculating not actual cost.so where can i do actual cost and how it is reflecting.

Hi,

In case of internal activity if you maintain workcenter, activity type and work hours in the activity then after "confirmation", actual cost will be calculated.

is tht confirmation should be MCNF PCNF REL SETC r CNF PCNF REL SETC.

hi,

while doing the confirmation, in the confirmation window if you set the final confirmation check then the CNF, MNCF status will be displayed.

CNF: Confirmed

MCNF: Manually confirmed

PCNF: Partially confirmed

SETC: Settlement rule created.

i know about confirmation...my doubt is whether i should do cnf mcnf or mcnf pcnf confirmation to get actual cost.

Hi,

For eg you ahve activity of 10 hrs whose cost is 100 Units. You confirm activity 5 hrs ie 50%, the actual cost also will be 50% ie 50 Units and status will be PCNF.

If you confirm 100% then cost will be 100 Units and status CNF.

hi,

check the validity of the work center in CNR2 costing tab maintain a proper validity period.

Check the validity of the cost elements also and its assignment in KP26.

Have you maintained proper costing variant actual in Tcode: OPUV.

Hi,

Let us give a trial:

Step 1: Reverse the confirmation on that activity By Tcode: CN29.

Step2: Now go to Tcode CJ20n and Confirm the same activity again..here the system shoud give message while saving the project:

Do not save but say cancel and then go to extraslogscost calculation..

this is because if you ignore this message and still continues to save and went back to see the log the log gets cleared.

Let me know what the error is..

In OPL1 whats the CO plan version maintained. by default make it "0" and click on that tab it will take you to T code..OKEQ .. just check whether the actual is cheked there..

check this out..

SPRO>PS>info system>cost revenue info system>project info database--set update control..

is the update checked, if not check it..

now check Tcode CJVC. are all the cost elements assigned in the value category properly..

then run Tcode: CJEN with test run on it.. first set delete and test run..then remove delete with onlytest run..

select object list

check whether ur getting the actual costs there..

if it does then remove test run and carryout the above cycle again..

run the report S_ALR_87013532.

do you see the actual costs there?

In set update control "update is checked".

In t.c cjvc all cost element is assigned.when i run the report S_ALR_87013532 i m getting actual.

can u tell w was the exact problem with that actual.

hi sometimes thers is an inconsistancy of the data in the database,

here we have recreated the database.
