We use Tcode se16 to check the data entries in the table. Why & when do we check these entries. Can somebody explain the whole concept behind including different tables...

the data what we enter in sap are stored in tables.
so if u want to retreive any data in the form of reports etc we need those table names and field names to write a report.
u can get the details of a table through SE16

Tables are usually check through SE16 to assess number of entries. The accuracy of reports generated may also require refering to reading table values.
