Is incoterms tied to partner func? How and which partner function does it effect?
Hi Umakanth,
Inco terms is maintained in the Customer Master, sales area data -> Billing tab
And it is associated with Ship to party, as incoterms is nothing but used when the material is shipped then the compnay will follow certain International Commodity terms, which are standard and used mostly in cross boarder scenarios.
While shipping the goods to ship to party, then these incoterms will define how the freight and otherthings will be taken care. for example, if the freight is free to the customer they maintaine it as FOB, etc
It will effect ship to party partner function, in the sales order, these inco terms are picked from sold to party master data.
Hope this is clear.
Reward if helpful
Thanks

How does incoterm effect ship to party? how eg: I have two kinds of tranportation: air and ground and each one carry there own shipping instructions/contract, then where do i maintain the text and how it is tied to incoterms?
Is it possible to provide a partner function for example driver in sales order, such that the user can enter like a free form, name & address etc, with system allotting a number? Thanks.
Hello,
In standard SAP, the inco terms are pulled from sold-to-party only. If this needs to be changed, you will have to use user exit in program MV45AFZZ to pull from the ship-to party.
Create a partner function ans assign it in the partner determination. Assigne the same to sol-to-party account group. Create the partner and assigne it into the cuatomer master (sol-to-party). You can enter the address of the same in the order, but nor sure about the free form.
