Assignment of document to the object

Hi there,

I have created a new document type in which under maintain object link I have matained the object MARA.

But when I am trying to assign the document of the new document type in material master I am getting error as

Document type Q00 does not allow you to assign to object MARA

Diagnosis

You want to assign an object (such as a material) to a document.

Settings in Customizing (Document management) determine which objects can be assigned to documents per object type.

Document type Q00 does not allow you to assign object MARA to a document

Please sugggest me what can be the reason behind the same

hi kaushik,

For each new documne type , you have to add object link

click on your new doc type in dc10, and click on define object link. Define there object as MARA.

your all problem will solve.

keep in mind that , whenever you make new doc type you have to select object link for that.

Object linking is document type dependent.
