checking out .txt original

Following is the error while checking out the Txt original

'No program available for processing document'

Hi Vijay,

The following error is due to non-availability of the defined workstation application.

for text,doc,docx files you need to define workstation application for the particular Document type.

you need to goto DC30-->and select new entries.

for example, you need for txt/doc/docx files so do the following,

1) WS application: doc

Description: MS word

Archieve Ident: optional

File suffix..: *.doc, *.docx, *.txt

MIME type:application/word (optional)

App. Icon: select from list (optional)

set indicator for Start Authorization while remaining options available are as per requirements.

2)now select the entered WS appl.(doc) and double click on define workstation application in network>select new entries>data carrier type as PC>appl type as change>type %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.OUTPLACE% under path with progam name.>path for ref is optional>save n go back

repeat the same steps as in 2 but now instead of selecting change select display and type %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.INPLACE%

3)now u need to do settings in Setup Office Integration

select WS app doc>double click on setup office integration>new entries>enter doc type>select application type as 'Change'>select Technique as Link_Serv and check all the boxes available below>save n go back.

now again go for new entries and repeat the same process as above but here instead of using 'Change' select 'Display', save and the

after the settings open your DIR and check.

i have done all those settings. my problem is m unable to edit the Txt file but

i can display the file.

Hi Vijay,

under DC30>select doc type>Define workstation application in network-->just type %AUTO% for both change and display under "path with program name" instead of %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.INPLACE% and %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.OUTPLACE%

Since the above settings as INPLACE and OUTPLACE work fine with MS word files but of text files %AUTO% is sufficient.

OR ELSE,

WS application : TXT

DescriptionTextfiles :

Archive identificatio : *

File suffix for appl. : txt

File format : *.txt

MIME type : plain/text

and maintain for "path with program name" as

PC TXT 1 Text %auto%

PC TXT 2 Text %auto%

PC TXT 3 Text %auto%
