Custom Charaterisitics in CCM now visible in Catalog

Hello All,

We are using CCM 2.0 , i have created a Custom Characterisitis in my Catalog , i am able to populate value to that field and sucessfully publish the Catalog as well.

But when i view the Catalog from SRM(CLick on Catalog in Shop) , the custom Charateristics in not visible .

Are you able to help me on this please.

Hi,

There are 2 ways to create custom characteristics.

1. by UI

2. by Schema definition upload

Please check the visibility setting in the characteristics detail screen.

Hello Massa,

Thats not the problem , i have created a new characteristics as comments , its not visible on publshing the Catalog in the SRM, when i view it as SRM catalog.

Any Idea why.

Hi Sid,

Have you read all the help doc that Masa proposed? Please note that in order for your custom characteristic to be visable you must indicate this requirement in characteristic management by selecting that it is visable in list display/context display etc.

Once you select this as being visable it will display in the CSE.

Hello Jason,

Thanks for the info , but when itried doing that it i am getting a error " Error when saving characteristic 'XXXX".

Are you able to help.

Also if i want to create the this custom characterisitics via CSV file , what Characteristic ID and possible values i should pass for visibility in the file.

Hi Sid,

The 'Error when saving characteristic' message is normally cleared up by implementing note 1024002.

For creating custom characteristics in CCM in CSV format for upload I would suggest looking at the help documentation available which details how these are to be created.

The information is also available in the SRM 260 course however I suggest following the guidelines in the help documentation first.
