creating more than one application in webdynpro DC example needed

Hello Everyone,

I searched in sdn, buti did not find the examples related to webdynpro DCs without using NWDI.

can we create more than one application in one DC?

If so how can we create and when is the necessary to use more than one application in our DC and how these two applications interact with each other?

please provide step by step information. i am new to webdynpro.

Vijaya,

You can create more than one application under a DC. It does not matter whether you are using NWDI or not, procedure for creating multiple applications under a DC remains same. The need for creating multiple apps can be in many ways.

You have organised your views under different view assemblies (windows) and you can create one app for each view assembly. and respectively one iView for each. By creating

different view assemblies, you can get rid of unnecessary views to be loaded and you can resue the same view in various view assemblies. You can create multiple iViews using

the same application but for various view containers(It does not scale all the time).

for Inter application interaction, you can use Absolute navigation on iViews and passing any parameters needed and handling these params under InterfaceViews of a Window.
