Adding Activity to service notification

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the FM name to add a new activity to a service notification in PM. My requirement is to add a completion activity for a any given service notification. The completion activity shud be added as the last activity.

Hi,

The SAP provided Service Order Notification Create F/M somehow fails to insert Line Items in the Notification

In order to add the lines, we have to use BDC method and call transaction IW32.

Could u be more specific about which FM u r talking about. So far as i know there are a few FM like IQS4_ADD_DATA_NOTIFICATION

BAPI_SERVENOT_MODIFYDATA.

But these FM are not of much use when it comes to adding a new activity in a given service notification which already has some activity to it.

Is doing BDC the only resort???

Yes I was talking about the F/M BAPI_SERVENOT_MODIFYDATA.

Though it is supposed to, it does not ,modify or add activity to the Service Notification. Doing it via BDC is the only option.

Even we had to do the same in our IS-U implementation.

I think this FM is working fine.

I tried in my system...

Few parameters were missing so had to populate them. I suggest u try the same. It shud work...
