Hi

I had the same problem. Go to http://<J2ee server>:<port>/useradmin login as administrator. enter the user ID e.g. ADSUSER. Select the user and choose modify. On the first tab, towards the bottom, you will see the type is set to default, change it to technical, save and retest, it should work. Well, it did for me

I hope this helps

What I would do is check the setting "Password never expires" or something similar in Visual Administrator. In that way we don't need to reset the password for service users regularly.

yes the way to correct this would be to go into the UME and change the Security Policy from Basic to Technical User. This will also prevent the user from having to change the password every X days.

To get to the UME, go to http://<server>:<port>/index.html and select User Management. Login with an administrators account. Search for the user and modify the information.
