After installation of NW2004's I restarted the system for post installation then I found server0 is not working...see the logs

We had a similar issue earlier and the issue was due to corrupt profile files.

Kindly check your profile files. Especially the SYSTEM NAME entry.

Hi,

Not much help from std_server0.out file.

Can you check how your dev_jcontrol ended. I mean was there a non zero RC there.

Also would be good idea to check your Physical memory utilization and JVM tuning.

I tried to start SDM manually but giving an error

SDM Startup Error

You are getting this error message when starting SDM because your message server has not yet started.

See the solution given by SAP Note: 780670 - SDM could not reach Message Server.

Please go through the below link as well,you will find the solution.

To troubleshoot your problem, first you need to have the SDM log files. They are located in the /usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE_NAME>/SDM/program/log directory.

Server Startup Error

Check your SAP Backend System Client (which you have specified in config tool) whether J2EE_Guest user has been created or not.If not create it manually.

Go to Transaction PFCG and edit the user roles SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION, SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO and SAP_J2EE_ADMIN for users J2EE_Admin, SAPJSF if something shown in RED color,edit it , save it and restart the J2EE Server.

It should resolve your issue.

Hai,

Check whether the IPaddress is assigned or not.Also check the services and hosts file and made the entry in it for the sapgw00,sapgw00s,sapms<SID> .
