Hi,
I just installed SAPNW7.0 ABAPTrial SP12 on a standalone XP laptop.
Installation went without any error.
But when I try to login to system by selecting NSP from logon pad and hit LOGON button it gives me this runtime error:
Runtime Errors DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST
Date and Time 2008-05-11 02:07:19
Short text
Invalid request.
What can you do?
Note which actions and input led to the error.
For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator
.
You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage
termination messages, in particular for long term reference.
Error analysis
An invalid request was made to the SAP database interface in a statement
in which the table "DOKTL " was accessed.
The situation points to an internal error in the SAP software
or to an incorrect status of the respective work process.
For further analysis the SAP system log should be examined
(transaction SM21).
For a precise analysis of the error, you should supply
documents with as many details as possible.
How to correct the error
Start the work process involved and repeat the action that lead to the
error.
If the error position is in a program that you can change, you can try
to create preliminary solution: Reformulate the database command by
varying the properties such as individual record access instead of
input/output via internal tables, the structure of the selection
conditions (WHERE clause), nested SELECT loops instead of FOR ALL
ENTRIES and other such variations.
Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
Check the entries in the developer trace of the work process involved
(transaction ST11).
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST" " "
"SAPMSYST" or "SAPMSYST"
"FILL_INFO_TAB"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

Hello,
Please update your SAP kernel. And take backup of old kernel before updating.

Hi,
This may not be a solution to the issue you are looking at but you can atleast proceed with your work. If your SAP Management Console shows that NSP is green and working then try logging in through browser this shall work:
http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000

Hi. Can you say your compyter name ? Also in windows folder under system32/drivers/etc find the file hosts and provide information from it. Check the event log in your XP mashine , are you see any error? Your network card works properly (or you install loopback adapter) ?.
Are you have any antivirus , firewall software? Disable all, restart the pc, and try again.

Hello Sergo,
Thank you for your reply.
my computer name is localhost.
It's a standalone XP pro laptop and I connect with internet via wireless connection. It's not connected with any Local Network.
Here's how my host file looks like
Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.*
#
This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.*
#
This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each*
entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should*
be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.*
The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one*
space.*
#
Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual*
lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.*
#
For example:*
#
102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server*
38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host*
127.0.0.1 localhost*
192.168.1.101 localhost
By default IP was 127.0.0.1 localhost
but I changed it to 192.168.1.101 localhost as this IP was in my TCP/IP properties, did I do it correct?
I've Kaspersky Antivirus running and Windows Firewall on. I'm going to try disable both and restart.
Can you please tell me how to check event log in my XP machine.
Thanks for your time
Asif
Are you read this befor install the trial version? -->
"If no DHCP server is available on your network (which dynamically determines the IP address) or your computer is not connected to any network, you need to install the virtual interface adapter MS Loopback Adapter. The procedure to install a loopback adapter is documented within the download package".
Also i'm first view the pc with name "localhost" ,,,,,,,,,
I'm not assured, but it not so good....
First try to back : 127.0.0.1 localhost, and try again. If not helps, I on your place, first delete this trial version, after rename the PC, after install again with MS Loopback Adapter to, but it's only if not helps steps above. About event log : press right mouse on "My computer", choose manage --> event viewer. Regards. Do not forget award helpful answers.

and ask for these info
