Dears

Every time when defects are to be recorded for a lot,it asks report type.

I want that report types should be automatically set for lot with diff. insp. types.is it possible in customizing

It is not possible by inspection type. The report type is assigned to the work center in config.

QM>Quality Notifications>Defects recording-->Define report type.

In the next screen select "Assign report type to the work center"

In here you can use a * for work center and assign a report type to it. Then all work centers will use that report type. You can create specific report types and assign them to specific work centers here as well.

You can also specify the report type for users. Define the user parameter QFE = report type key. For the user to be able to change a report type that is automatically found by the system define the user parameter QF1 = X.
