WAS 6.20: SAP R/3 47x220: Problem with SAPinst

While installing SAP R/3 47x220 based on WAS6.20, I encountered problem with SAPInst. SAPinst stop with the following error message found in dev_selfex.out from the temporary installation directory:

iaextract.c:647: self->argv[1]: SAPINST_CONTROL_URL=control.xml

iauxsysex.c:271: started child 466992

iauxsysex.c:302: child 466992 exited with signal 11

iauxsysex.c:306: child 466992 has crashed. Executable directory is /tmp/sapinn_Udaa. Contact Support.

iaextract.c:657: child has signaled an exec error. Keeping

directory /tmp/sapinn_Udaa

iaextract.c:563: Starting cleanup

.....

I hope someone encountered this problem already and would like to share to us how he/she worked around the problem.

By the way, our platform is IBM RS6000, AIX 5.2 (64Bit); Oracle 9.2 (64Bit); WAS 6.20 and SAP R/3 4.70x220. Thanks in advance.

We have the same error message installing SAP 4.7 using RED HAT LINUX ENTERPRISE 3 AS with hardware IBM XSeries 445 8870-3EX.

I could not find any Note is SAP referred to this error.

It would usefull for me if i know how Eren solve his problem
