CMS not responding to XI "Export Configuration Objects"

Former Member

I'm running into an issue when attempting to export an "Integration Directory" object from my XIQ environment to XIP via CMS.

I choose Export.

I select "Transport Using CMS"

I name my transport list

I give the transport list a description

"Continue"

I select my Business Scenario to transport.

I get the confirmation screen immediately saying it was succesful

I see that a transport ID was created for this.

Unfortunately, I'm NOT getting a message back from CMS indicating success. I get no message back at all.

Is there a way I can check to see if my XIQ system can "talk" to CMS (installed on XID).

Note: I'm succesfully able to do this process for Repository Objects in XID. Our basis team says that are CMS is on our XID box.

Please let me know if I can provide more info. I was able to do this sucesfully last month. I'm assuming something has recently changed in my environment.

Thanks!

Christopher,

There is a cms.log available somewhere amongst XI logs ... I do remember whether you can find them at both server (CMS) and client (XI not running CMS), but try finding it, it may contain useful details about what happens internally ... It can be accessed using the LogViewer service

If LMADMIN user had something wrong (or even if some exchange profile settings had been screwed up), it should raise an exception or error while releasing your ID objects ...

Did the CMS config change recently (tracks ? landscape ?) etc as you say it used work ?

Chris,

You would never export your objects from XIQ. Only once you would export them from XID to CMS. Later on things should be carried forward in CMS only.
