I have some doubts when configuring a scenario using mail adapter---
1.What do we mean by Message protocol as XIPayload when using the Mail adapter at ID?
2.There is a check box under Mail attributes as Use mail package
- when we check it it shows content encoding as base 64
- when unchecked it shows a no of other fields
Plz tell me the meaning of both the cases and which one to use when?
3.Where do we specify the additional file parameters where the attachment is to be recieved??
Plz reply explaining their logic in words
Thanx
Hi,
When you check that check box then it allows the Attachments.
Additional file parameters for file names. Suppose in sender side you mentioned *.txt and give the file names as a.txt b.taxt,..... you want the receiver side same file name(means a.txt, b.txt,.....) at that time this is useful.

Hi,
1.What do we mean by Message protocol as XIPayload when using the Mail adapter at ID?
Message Protocol
This parameter defines the message protocol for processing the message.
Message Protocol
● XIALL
All information of the XI message is put in the message text of the e-mail. The content of the XI message is the same as the content of the RFC822 mail message.
● XIPAYLOAD
The payload of the XI message is used to create the mail message.
If the payload is in mail package format, the header information is also used for the e-mail.
If mail package format is not used, the header information is obtained from the adapter configuration described below.
2.There is a check box under Mail attributes as Use mail package
when we check it it shows content encoding as base 64
when unchecked it shows a no of other fields
Ans: Dynamic mail address with XI mail adapter
