Hi
Can anybody explain when to do Remote Client Copy and went to do Client Transport?
Actually both are used to copy clients between SAP system. May I know which is when used?
Hi,
The Remote Client Copy tool allows you to copy selected components of an existing client to another client through RFC Connection. The target client can either be in the same R/3 system or in another R/3 system.
A client transport differs from a remote client copy in that its not mandatory to have RFC connection. However client transport is used to copy data between different R/3 Systems once the client copy is done.
A client transport consists of two steps.
1.Client Export
Extracts client data from the source client to files at the OS level
2.Client Import
The data is imported from the operating system files into the target client.
Follow up the link which shows the difference and when to use client copy and transport.

Hope this helps !!!
