Version Management in XI

Dear Experts,

This is the concern regarding Version Management in XI.

I have 2 Scenarios, namely S1 and S2.

There are two namespaces in IR namely NS1 and NS2 under the Software Component Version SWCV1.0 under Product P1.

S1 is using objects (Interfaces and Mappings) from namespace NS1 and S2 is using objects from namespace NS2.

Later some enhancement was required for Scenario S2. So I created a software component Version SWCV2.0 under the same product P1. I created name space NS2( Same name as it is in SWCV1.0 ) . I copied the objects from NS2 of SWCV1.0 to NS2 of SWCV2.0 using RELEASE TRANSFER. Then I enhanced the objects in NS2 of SWCV2.0 .

Now I want that Scenario 2 should pick the objects newly enhanced in NS2 of SWCV2.0 . Scenario1 should run as it is .

I don’t want to again copy the object from NS2 of SWCV2.0 to NS2 of SWCV1.0, as it kills the essence of Versioning.

Please give the solution.

Hi Navneet,

Just create another scenario S2.1 and attach your newly created NS2 of SCV2.0. Make sure your previous scenario S2 is attached with NS2 of SCV1.0.
