Default Product Category Not getting Selected for one Org Structure

Hi,

We have maintained a default product category in the system, but it is not getting picked up correctly when we click on "requirement link" after clicking on "Shop" link.

For one org hierarchy the correct default product category is getting picked, but in other product hierarchy is fails to pick the default product cat. Basically it does not recognizes the default product category and thus displays the last selected one.

Kindly guide how to proceed. Confirm if any further info is needed.

Hi. Have you tried debugging this to see where the product cataegory is coming from? There might be a table entry you can find or something that is cauing it.

Failing that I would ask SAP, have you raised an OSS message for it?

Checked the source system and it is correct.

Strangely, it picks the correct default product category for user belonging to diff org structure.

Example:-

User for which it is not working belongs to org hierarchy -

CORP-> EMEA-> EMEA->EMEA

For all user under this org structure, it does not pick the correct default category. And it's only with few of the product category that default is not recognized.

User for which it is working belongs to-

CORP->GOQ->GOQ->GOQ->GOQ->Buyer

Hi. Are you using the shopping cart wizard BBPSC02 or the full functionality BBPSC01?

The full functionality allows users to set defaults at the top of the screen, the users have not been putting anything in there have they?

Default any other product for that Org and see if that works. Do a buffer refresh. Do a attribute check for that Org.

If I set default some other product category, it does get selected correctly. It is only with some of them that it does not recognize the default.

You got the answer, please verify whether the product category which is causing problem is properly defined in SRM and see the backend too
