CPU limitation in a SAP system

Can anybody tell me if you can limit the usage of CPU per each Work Process in a SAP System?

If you are using Solaris you can use Resource Manager to limit CPU usage, but you do it for a user or container.

Hi,

This thread talks about the memory consumption and how to control it using the different sap parameters but I need to know if we can limit the CPU usage per WP from SAP.

Hi,

in Unix, you can not limit a work process from getting a CPU. You can reduce the process priority with "nice" value. Also, in solaris, you can limit the usage of system resources by user.
