Hi,

We want our end users to be able to execute only 1 variant in /SAPAPO/SNP01.

For this I've created a new T-code with that particular variant in PFCG.However, since this user is assigned some othe roles with the same objects, he's able to execute most of the other variants as well.

is there somE way to deactivate the variant button in this T-code..

Pls. help..

Thanks a lot,

Saba.

Hi,

seems you are right, it's not possible without some additional programming.

What about a custom report with your own transaction code assigned to which does nothing but

'call transaction xxxx using variant yyyy skip first screen' ?

No this is something different.

With transaction variants you for example can

- set (selection) fields to 'display only'

- set fixed values.

- hide fields

So you could create a transaction variant for your own transaction and set all relevant selection fields to display only and then make the variant the default variant.

Dear Hubert,

This is what i've already accomplished with the PFCG Report tab, now when the user enters the Z t-code (created by me for that variant), he's able to view the default variant...what I want is that he should not be able to select any of the other variants present on the Get Variant atb of /SAPAPO/SNP01.

Pls. help.

Thanks a lot,

S

Hi ,

you could create transaction variants with SHD0 and assign those to the users.

Hi,

I've created a new T-code with that particular variant, with PFCG ( Report tab) however my purpose is not being solved, since the user is able to view other variants as well:(..is this the same as SHD0??

Thanks,

Saba.
