cannot change item category

hi,

how can i change the item category, the original item cate. is MTO, now I want to change it FOC MTO item cat. However, the field for item cat. had grey out because production order is created. Any other method to change the item without recreate the new item. thanks

The field item category will be available for editing only if you have configured some Manually enterable item category in the transaction code VOV4.

Please ensure that VOV4 has the valid Manual Item category and then try. It should be possible to change the item category in sales order.

Hi,

You also should not have created any succeeding document. Now you have done that, you have to either cancel it and then change the I.C. in the source document, or create another order.
