SAPOSCOL for Oracle dedicated server

Former Member

Dear SAP gurus,

I have 4 AIX 5.3 for SAP R/3 production system. We have CI machine, DB instance server(where Oracle 9.2.0.7.0 running in it), and 2 application server. We use HACMP for clustering.

Currently we can monitor our OS activity through ST06 via SAPOSCOL on CI machine and 2 application server. But, unfortunately we can't see any activity on DB instance server.

Any suggestion so we can monitor our DB instance machine as well ?

Thank you,

Ardhian

Hi,

In order to monitor standalone DB server on which no SAP instance is running, you can setup CCMS agent on DB server.

CCMS agent is just binary (sapccmsr) and it provides the interface to SAP instance so that you can monitor on ST06.

You can get more info from following links.
