File to RFC scenario

Hi Experts,

Do i need to use BPM for doing File ->XI->RFC, i am working on PI7.0 sp 13. i got confused some body are telling its possible, some body are tlling not possible without BPM, please clarify my doubt.

Hi Dhanush ,

Well you really don't require BPM to do simple file to RFC Scenario though it can be done using BPM But Don,t Go for it as it consum much resources .

Hi,

By using two ways we can do it, but majority of the casess people don't go to BPMs because the performance is very very low as compared to general scenario.

For complicated scenarios generally we go for BPMs like synchronous-Asynchronous communication and vice versa like such type of scenarios we go for BPMs otherwise we can use the general scenarios.

If you only want to send the contents of the file to RFC then there is no need for BPM.

Unless you want to send the contents of the file to the RFC, then RFC manipulate the data and send it to another file. Then u need BPM.

this scenario works only if your SP>=SP19(3.0) & SP>=SPs10(7.0).

So no need to worry about bpm.

HI,

Do u wanted to get response from RFC and put the response into target File.

THis is what r u doing

FIle-RFC request RFC response- File.

U can do either using BPM
