NFS - using File system

HI Experts,

am doing File to File Scenario and the file is located in R3 system which i should use only filesystem by NFS

How can i read the file without using FTP.

Hi Ramana,

Basically NFS uses the XI system as file system.

Seshagiri ... might be right ..just give it a try... but if it is on another n/w use FTP.

Hi Ramana,

NFS is used only when file exists in XI server. Otherwise FTP need to be used.

Hi,

We can use NFS, if the file is there in R/3 Server also and same network

Take correct Permissions for that Path and give the path as i mentioned above reply

Looks my sender cc status showing with successful.

but, when i tried to check in moni ...am not getting any data.

Meanwhile, i checked this with my msg.ID also and showing this no messages found. here.

Actually, my scenario here is both Source and Target structure are same..so, i didn't create any Mapping here.

Could you pls provide me any suggestions on this.

What is the meaning of this???

Means you created the mapping and u didnt done any mapping inside??

OR

Totally u didnt created any mapping???

Even though u have the same Source & Target, u just create Mapping and mapp all those with One-One mapping And use the same in Interface mapping

Hi,

I am doing... to read the file using XI and Transport Protocol is File (NFS) from UNIX/R/3 system and placed it to Production (R/3) system using FTP Logon.

I have created DT,MT and MI

There is no mapping going on in XI for this interface, so i need to test whether i could move a file using NFS

Use NFS & In the Source file Path
IP of SAP R/3\Folder
