Can we conditionally suppress some fields in Portal..
ex:Only for certain account groups i have to allow them to enter Customer No.

I do think that Business Pkg can allow that.... you need to customize your application for any client side validation rules

is it a custom development or you are using standarad iViews.
If its a custom development, you sure can create groups where one will have access to the specific field and for other u can disable the field.
if its a standard iView, try creating a copy of the iView. Have Customer field in one iView and not in other. Then assignment can be done according to the need.
