Hi,

The item categories which are used by each sales document is purely done at config. level.

We can configure Sales Document type with Item category Group, usage, Heigher level Item category and Default Item cateogy.

Goto T.Code VOV4,

Here you can maintaine all the combinations to your sales document types with the concerned Item categories, so that you can use the same for sales process.

Here you can also assigne Manual item categories apart from Default Item category, so that, you can change the item cateogories at the sales document level.
