i want to update the data in idoc

Idoc itself does not save any data. Instead the R3 tables save the data. When u r using ABAP Proxy, it is better to directly update the tables instead of thinking about populating idoc.

Hi Rao,

yes, you can do that but it will require unnecessary coding effort.

When you already have a idoc its preferable to use idoc..

And if yours is a specific case which cannot be addressed by Idoc or idoc(customizing), then am afraid you are forced to use the proxy.

Hope the answer to you Q.

Hi,

Ya as Proxies are created from Message Interfaces.

It would be possible to create Proxies for IDOC's also.

As there will be a message interface for IDOC.

HI Rao,

I think,We can't use the Idoc inside the Proxy.

We can call RFC inside the proxy,

Check this for more clarification

Hi,

There are three ways by which u can update the Data in R3.

1) Using IDOC

2) Using Proxy

3) Using RFC.

Just check thisweblog...then you will understand to Choose the Right Adapter to integrate with SAP systems

Hi,

u can not use IDOC inside proxy but instead u can use RFC in proxy.

IDOC is the one way by which u can update the data in R3 system.

Hope u got it clear.
