PI AS A BUSINESS SYSTEM.

Hello all

I am making the follow integration

R3(RFC) TO PI (RFC) and the same PI (RFC) to file.

With a program in R3 I will try to send the data via RFC to XI . XI will receive the data . And a program that I am implementing in XI Abap will call again a new RFC and send the data to a file adapter ?

Is my thinking a nonsense ?

If I need to use the same PI as Business System in a scenario how do I have to configure it ?

Hi, Not sure if get yours point or not.

If you just have one interface, like R/3 to file system, PI is only doing transformation and routing, then you do not need include your PI business system in your scenario.

If you have more than one interface, PI system is acting as one end point system, then you need include PI business system into your scenario.

Based on which situation you have, you should know if you want to include PI business system into your scenario or not.

Youa re thinking right except one point there....

send from R/3 to XI using the RFC and XI will send the same RFC data to an file.....

it will be

RFC-XI--File scenario..XI will basically map the RFC data from its strcuutre to the target file starucutre you create......check the SDN for more details on the blog of RFC TO FILE.
