Hi,
I have a specific scenario/Requirement with combination of SAP DMS and Portal application. We are not going to have cFolders or KM in our project. The scenario is as follows,
1. User will store the DMS drawing in SAP-DMS with Object link of BOM Header.
2. The customer will login to Internet portal (Not SAP) and query for a spare part requirement. Based on the Material number selected by him, System should display the DMS Object (Can be cad drawing or image file) in the Internet.
Can we acheive this? If yes how do we do that?

Points will be awarded.
hi,
This is possible but u need some setting
a) Go to CVAW_Cust t code and define all document types.
b) Go to RZ10 transaction and create profile
c)go to SICF transaction and activate CVAW_Entire services
d) Go to SE80 and select BSP Application and CVAW_ENTIRE
double click on index.htm, click on testrun(F8) to generate link.
Once link is generated u can use this URL to access ur DIR from web. Here u get document find tab, click on that , u get screen like cv04n( document search), here u can enter material number in object link tab to find the drawing attached to that material.
regards
sham

Hi Prasanna,
As per your requirement using Web DMS will be very useful but the user who is not having access to Web DMS can make use of the URL for accessing the DIR.
1 u can access ur originals from internet without loging in to SAP GUI.
2.Once u access dir from web then there is no need of SAP DMS to access,
3. U dont need any extra equipments to access DIR from net, but some cutomization are required fron SAP end
a) Go to CVAW_Cust t code and define all document types.
b) Go to RZ10 transaction and create profile
c)go to SICF transaction and activate CVAW_Entire services

hi Prasanna Raghavendran
yes you can achieve this.
I dont know wheather you know dms or not.
attache the drawing to the document type and store it in content server. Link the material bom to it. so that this CAD drwing will be link to bom.
dms can be access from web also and it will show original file also attach to it.
