Can anyone is please tell me what exactly is PLM.Is that a seperate installation and if yes then how to do it.

Hi,

PLM is not a module but is a concept; It includes modules like QM;EHS; and some of the cross components like DMS (document management sys), PDM(product data management);etc

Hello Kaushik,

PLM stands for Product Lifecycle Management.

This involves various SAP Modules which are mainly placed around the production chain.

i.e. Quality management QM, constructions CA-DMS or the basic data needed in production.

A list of transactions would be too large in this forum.

I am working on ECC 6.0, can i get the basic PLM transaction codes in this or is there a need of seperate installation. Can you please guide me or provide me with any information regarding how to start in PLM.
